The Economic Times Young Leaders Programme is a platform for recognizing and rewarding India's bright young talent. This initiative is meant to encourage, identify and nurture promising future business leaders of India Inc.
The Programme is divided into 4 Phases.
Phase 1 - Online Test that can be completed at your home or office
Phase 2 - Verbal, numerical and personality online test at a pre-designated centre
Phase 3 - Group assessment sessions (group tasks & role plays)
Phase 4 - CEO Interviews
A shortlist at the end of every phase determines the candidates who will move forward.

The programme is open to participants from all industries. You can participate in either of the two ways:

Phase 1: Online Test - Take the test online from home or office
- Register on this website (click here).
- You will receive an e-mail verification request on the e-mail address provided
- Once verification is completed, a User ID & Password will be e-mailed to you. This will be required to take the test.
- Complete the simple, multiple-option test. You will be informed once the test has been completed.
- There will be a score-based shortlisting and qualified participants will move to the next phase.
- You will receive an e-mail informing you if you have made it to the next phase or not.
Phase 2: Controlled Environment Test – Take the test at an allocated venue
- Visit www.etyoungleaders.com to select a city and test centre.
- Once you log on to the test website, you will be asked to take three tests. The first two tests are analytical and verbal ability tests. The time limit for completing both tests is approximately 45 minutes, after which the session will expire. You can take this test only once. You will not be allowed to repeat this test.
- The third test is a personality assessment. The time limit for completing this test is approximately 30 minutes. You can take this test only once. You will not be allowed to repeat this test.
- You will be informed once the tests have been completed.
- There will be a score-based shortlisting and qualified participants will move to the next round.
- You will receive an e-mail informing you if you have moved to the next phase or not.
Phase 3: On-ground Assessments
- This phase will be conducted at pre-determined cities across the country.
- You will be part of a group of eight-ten people and will be evaluated through a series of assessments like group tasks, role plays, etc.
- The duration of each group assessment is four hours.
- There will be a score-based shortlisting and qualified participants will move to the next round.
- You will receive an e-mail informing you if you have moved to the next phase or not.
Phase 4: Interviews
- Candidates who successfully complete phase 3 will be asked to give a personal interview. The interview will be conducted by a senior industry leader.
- This phase will be conducted at pre-determined cities across the country, based on where the CEO panel resides.
- An email /SMS will be sent to you informing you of the time, date and venue of the interview. We request you to be at the venue at least 15-20 minutes before the scheduled time of interview.
Participants will be required to submit relevant documentation as and when requested during the relevant phases of the programme.
There are 9 leadership competencies that have been selected basis inputs from our panel of CEOs and SHL's assessment framework. These leadership competencies have been arrived at keeping in mind the age group of the participants (26 to 32 years).

The ET Young Leaders will publish the shortlist on the website and inform shortlisted candidates on the email address and/or mobile number mentioned in the registration form.
There is no cost for participating in the ET Young Leaders programme. However at every phase in the programme, you will be required to make your own travel and stay arrangements, and pay for the same.
In Phase I, the test stays active till you complete it. If the test stops mid-way for any reason, it will resume from where you left off last.
